This site provides wind zone information for Malaysia based on the Malaysian Standard MS 1553:2002, "Code of Practice on Wind Loading for Building Structure".

Source:

• Zone II area is manually traced from Figure 3.1 of MS 1553:2002.
• Other areas are assumed to be Zone I although not explicitly stated in MS 1553:2002.
• MS 1553 wind station coordinates are obtained from https://mymetdata.met.gov.my/shop/product/8/records-of-maximum-surface-wind/
• Country boundary data are obtained from https://osmdata.openstreetmap.de/ & https://osm-boundaries.com/

Notes:

• Wind stations location in peninsula Malaysia generally talies with Figure 3.1 of MS 1553:2002 except for Chuping.
• Zone II manually traced area may be inaccurate, engineering judgment is required. If anyone has the GIS information for Zone II, kindly contact me to update the map.
• There are many more wind stations in Malaysia. However, historical wind speed data are difficult to obtain, if anyone have accurate historical wind speed data, kindly contact me.
